So far this year has been a very busy one for me. I've had my head down for most of the year so far,
creating a brand new program to help people get started with their own website and make money online.

In this issue I will focus on the reasons why people fail at internet marketing.

When I started trying to make money online back in in 2004, the wisest move I made was to get my own website.
Having your own website means that YOU are in full control. You can recommend whatever products you like on your
website and you can also build a list of potential customers, which is the most important thing you can do
if you want to be successful online.

Feature Article - Are You Failing at Internet Marketing?

Many people fail at internet marketing, but most people don't understand why they have failed. In this article I will give you some of the reasons
that are causing people to fail in internet marketing.
The failure rate in internet marketing is extremely high, but it is not as high as it used to be. It used to be that around 95% of everyone who
tried to make money in internet mareketing failed, but this number is no longer as high.
People define success at different levels which helps explain why more people are succeeding at it. Some people are happy to earn an extra $100 a month.
Others won't be content until they are earning a full time income. Whether or not you are a success depends exactly what your goal is.
So what are the main reasons that people fail in internet marketing?
1. They do not set up their own website. Using a replicated affiliate link is not a good strategy for success unless you drive massive amounts
of traffic to it. Most affiliate marketers never reach that level. It is much better to have your own website as you can drive search engine traffic to
it and you are in full control of it.
2. They do not capture names and email addresses of their visitors. This is known as building an email marketing list and is the cornerstone
of success for many top affiliate marketers. If you want to ensure your failure do not build a list.
3. They jump around from one product to the next never making money on any. Because it's free to join an affiliate program it's tempting to
think that the program is what is keeping you from succeeding. In reality if you would focus on making money with one product before taking on another you avoid failure.
4. They never generate enough targeted traffic. If you do not get enough visitors to your website you will never make any sales.
Generating traffic takes a lot of time and effort and many people do not realise this until they start to do it, then quit because it is
too much work or they don't understand it.
5. They don't give it enough time. It took me around 5 months before I started making a profit online, but lots of people only try for
one or two months. It takes time and effort to set up a website and get regular targeted traffic to that site. Be persistent and you will increase
your chances of success. If I had quit after the first 3 or 4 months online I would still be stuck in that job that I hated today!
These are just a few of the reasons that will guarantee your failure in internet marketing. If you would like to succeed try doing these five things as opposed to not doing them!
