How a Home Business Ezine can Help your Business

It is extremely competitive in the home business market today, so I have often wondered why more people do not publish their own home business ezine. It offers a great number of advantages that home business owners without an ezine do not have.

Here are 5 ways that publishing your own home business ezine can help you:

1. You can directly promote your ezine as opposed to your business opportunity. This is a big advantage because everyone else is trying to convince people to join their home business opportunity.

By taking a backdoor approach you will increase the number of names and email addresses you have for your ezine subscribers. Over time this will allow you to increase the number of new members you have in your home business as well.

2. Branding yourself as an expert is easier to do when you publish an ezine. This is especially true if you offer quality content.

Consider yourself lucky if you like to write. You can come up with all kinds of articles for your subscribers that are not already online.

However, if you do not like to write you can use the Internet to find creative articles online already that you can republish. In each issue you can add an introduction and a closing and people will still feel like you are the expert even though you do not write all of the content.

3. You can sell advertising in your ezine or you can advertise your own products or affiliate products. Over the years millions of dollars of products have been sold in home business ezines.

This is because your subscribers come to trust you and when you run an ad, or offer a referral for product, they are more likely to purchase it.

4. Ezines do not cost any money to publish and you can reach a world wide audience. If you represent products in your home business that are Internet based you can sell them to people all around the world and do it right in your ezine.

5. You can use your ezine to build your business in other ways. For example if you have a blog you can publish your ezine on your blog. This gives you potential new traffic and subscribers as well.

These are just a few ways that having your own home business ezine can help you to be more successful with your own business.

How To Find Legitimate Small Home Business Opportunities

Are you looking for small home business opportunities, but are not sure how to pick the best one for you? There are many people in the same boat. The solution is really very easy.

To find the legitimate business opportunities you want to be sure to take your time with research. There are so many opportunities available online that it can be confusing.

There are a lot of scams online, but there are also a lot of legitimate opportunities. There are a few things that need to be done before determining if an opportunity is legitimate or a scam.

1. The first thing that you need to do is to look through all of the different opportunities that you can find. Choose a handful that you really interest you.

2. Once the opportunities have been found it is time to research each one thoroughly. Don't just assume that you already know what you need to. It is very important to take time to research each one individually.

This will help you dig down deeper so you can determine if on the surface it looks legitimate, but it is really not. Until they are looked at closely some scams will seem like the real thing.

3. Research what other people online are saying about each opportunity. If someone online has run into a scam, they will always find a way to tell others about it.

Use any major search engine to look up each opportunity you are interested in. It will show up in the search engines if there has been something written or said about that business.

It is also a good idea to visit a couple of the bigger forums to find out what people are saying. When people have been scammed a forum provides a large audience they can warn about it.

You may also want to visit IMReportCard for some unbiased reviews on business opportunities.

4. Now all that is left is to determine which opportunity you want to start your business with.

Before choosing one of the small home business opportunities take time to do all of the above. By doing these things you will be able to ensure that you only deal with legitimate opportunities and steer clear of the scams.

How To Retire Early From Your Own Home Business

Having a home business of your own offers many benefits. One goal many people strive for is retiring early.

Read on to learn how to retire early with your own home business.

1. Plan on sacrificing some of your spare time right now so you will have more of it later. If you expect to build a home business you are going to have to give up some of your free time every week as long as you work a full-time job.

This means sacrificing certain things and a lot of people find it difficult to do that. You need to be realistic in your expectations of how much time it will take you.

Some people think working two hours a week is going to allow them to retire early. Even with the benefits of the Internet you are going to have to spend more time than that building your business in the early years of it.

2. Use the Internet to automate functions within your business which will allow you to free up some of your time.. For example, you could use an autoresponder to send automatic follow up messages to your prospects, get some of your website content or promotional articles ghostwritten, use an article submission service to promote your articles or outsource someone to do any part of your business that you don't enjoy or have the skills to do yourself.

Anything you can do to automate part of your business will allow you to spend more time doing other things to build it quicker.

3. Find residual income products to promote. Getting paid in the future for work you are doing right now is certainly a key concept to retiring early from your home business.

There are numerous ways you can do that on the Internet today. For example you could join a MLM business or a two-tier affiliate program and make money on the sales of your recruited affiliates.

You could sell memberships to monthly training sites that pay you every month the member stays active. Over time this could lead to a very healthy recurring income.

These are all ideas on how to retire early from your own home business. If you work hard now, automate as much of your business is possible, and represent residual income products, you can retire early.

1. Find an area to work where you will not be disturbed. If you have a spare bedroom you can convert that into your home office. If you don't choose an area in a room where you can work relatively undisturbed. Let everyone know you are not to be bothered when you are working. It is extremely important that you are able to separate your home life and home business if you expect to succeed.

2. Identify an area of expertise, and interest, or a passion. This is known as establishing a niche for your business. You have a great opportunity in front of you to develop an Internet business doing something you enjoy.

Just make a list of things you enjoy, and see if something stands out, if you are not sure what type of home business to start.

3. Start a blog or a Website. One easy way to do this is by joining the Niche Power Group and follow the action plan.

In the title of your blog or website try and include a couple of your niche keywords. For example if you want to start a home business in the niche of "cooking Thai food" see if you can include those words in the title of your blog.

4. Monetize it with Google Adsense ads or Affiliate Programs. It's very easy to get set up with the Google Adsense or Affiliate Programs.

SFI and my President's Club Interview

If you are looking to start a free or low cost home business then SFI is a good choice. Not only is it free to join, but the site has excellent training to help you get started making money on the internet.

You can join SFI for FREE here.

I have been a member of SFI since 2004. It was the very first online business opportunity that I joined and has taught me a lot. I also receive a nice monthly check from them and I am usually listed in the Top Ten Sponsors on the SFI leader board.

Last year I became a member of the SFI Presidents Club for top sponsors and sellers. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a free cruise to Hawaii but if you are a member of SFI you can read my interview by clicking on the Leaderboard link and then clicking on the President's Club.

If you are not a member of SFI I have pasted my interview below for you to read.

___________________________________________________________

SFI President's Club Interview - Suzanne Morrison

Q) Is this your first venture into a business of your own? If not, what type of business were you involved with previously?
SFI was my very first venture into a business of my own. I joined SFI in 2004.

Q) What were your initial goals when you joined SFI? How have those goals changed since you joined?
My initial goals were to make a bit of extra income every month and eventually to earn enough to work from home full time for myself. I have now achieved both of these goals and I currently earn a full time income from home from a combination of SFI and some other online businesses.

Q) What SFI product(s) have you most concentrated on selling? Why?
I have focused on the opportunity rather than the products. When I started SFI I was looking for ways to create extra income so it made sense to me to promote this opportunity to other people who were searching for online income opportunities.

Q) Without giving way your secrets, what two marketing strategies do you feel are most effective (i.e. offline ads and flyers, pay-per-clicks, personal Website, banner ads, autoresponders, etc.)? Why?
I promote SFI primarily through my home business website and have the most success with a combination of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and autoresponders. My site has an online newsletter and I promote SFI to my subscribers both in the newsletter itself and also by promoting SFI’s $295 value online income course on my newsletter bonus page. I also promote SFI throughout this website using banners, text links, reviews and blog posts.

Q) What is the single most important step to making a sale that you would share with a new SFI affiliate?
I would encourage new affiliates to spend some time reading about SFI, going through the SFI training and learning about the SFI products before they start to promote anything. It is almost impossible to promote a product that you don’t understand so taking this extra time to get up to speed can make a big difference to your success.

Q) What technologies (i.e. cell phone, autoresponders, software, etc.) do you consider most vital for your SFI business?
The technologies that I find most vital are autoresponders and email. I always send a welcome email to my new affiliates and use email to answer all their questions. In addition to this I provide training for my affiliates using autoresponders.

Q) List the following traits in order of importance to your business: enthusiasm, persistence, knowledge, and communication skills.
I would put enthusiasm first, Without enthusiasm how can you sell something to your prospects? It is difficult to sell something that you are not enthusiastic about.

Secondly I would say persistence. A high percentage of online businesses fail. The main reason for this is that people expect instant gratification. They want to be rewarded in a few days or a few weeks with little or no effort. The people who succeed are the people who are persistent.

Thirdly I would say communication skills. You will be much more successful if you can motivate and help your team grow their own income.

Finally, knowledge is also very important but this is something that you can build on as you go along. When I started SFI I had no experience of online business, but I didn’t let this stop me.

Q) How important is following-up with new affiliates to your success?
Very important. I always contact my affiliates immediately after they have signed up to offer them my help and support. I think it is important to let your affiliates know who you are so that they can ask you questions when they need help.

Q) How do you handle rejections?
I see rejections as part of everyday business. Not everyone is going to be interested in the opportunities that you are offering so I expect rejections and don’t let them phase me.

Q) What has been your biggest motivation for making your SFI business a success?
I want to continue enjoying the freedom of being my own boss and working from home and hope never to have to go back to working for someone else.

Q) What has been your biggest obstacle in building your SFI business?
There are a large number of people who expect instant profits or who expect to achieve success with little or no effort. I try to re-educate these people and assist them, but at the end of the day people need to be willing to put in the work to reap the rewards.

Q) How does it feel to join the top movers and shakers in SFI?
It feels fantastic. I enjoyed reading the interviews from the members of the President’s Club when I joined SFI myself and I found them very motivational so I hope that my own interview can help to inspire people who are just starting with SFI.

Q) Where do you want your SFI business to be in a year from now?
I would like to continue to grow my business and my team and I would like to help more of my team members become successful themselves and become team leaders

Often you can receive commissions as large as 50% and it is easy to get started. 4. Blogging is a good choice if you are good at or enjoying writing. You can also monetize your blog and make money selling advertising on it as your traffic increases.

5. Selling private label rights products is a fast way to jumpstart an Internet business. One of the main benefits is that the product idea has already been thought through and created for you.

A Home Business or a Work from Home Job? What's the Difference?

Many people want to make money from home and the internet is making that goal much easier to achieve. Before you start your research one thing that you should try and understand is the difference between a home business and a work from home job.

Now, let's take a look at a couple of the differences between home businesses and work at home jobs and how they could affect whether you make money or not.

People that are entrepreneurial by nature tend to do better running their own home business. They enjoy being their own boss and love the challenge of building something from the ground up. Having a business of your own from home is a great way to make money, however you have no guarantees of a paycheck on a steady basis.

This means that it is advisable to have some money saved or alternatively you may want to continue to work full time or part time while you work on your own business. Today telecommuting makes it possible for people to work from home for companies without actually going into an office to do it.

For example websites such as Tjobs.com match employers with employees who want to stay home and work. This is just one form of a work from home job that you can find. Other things you can do that are really more along the lines of a job to include data entry, typing at home, writing articles for people, creating graphics, answering the phone, and so on. You are not really building a business yet you are providing a skill that people will pay you for.

There are advantages to both having your own home business and a work from home job and it is worth baring these in mind when you make the decision whether to start a home business or a work from home job. The choice is strictly up to you!

Visit my legitimate business opportunities page for ideas on how to start a home business or a work from home job.
