I logged into IM Report Card today and noticed that the Affiliate Power Group (where I coach) is the top rated site of the week – woo hoo
If you’ve not used IM Report Card before it’s a pretty cool site. They have over 3800 reviews of different internet marketing sites, products, services, business opportunities, people and so on. It’s a good place to go if you are thinking of purchasing a product or a service as you can quickly see what other people think of it. This is more likely to give you an accurate picture as you are looking at the views and collective grading of tens or hundreds of people rather than just one person’s review (who is probably an affiliate).

There are thousands of affiliate programs on the internet, so choosing an affiliate program to promote can be a daunting task, especially if you are new to affiliate marketing.
Here are 7 tips to help you choose the right affiliate program:
1. Is the sales page professional and easy to read? Many affiliate sales pages and websites are over complicated. They try to do too much to the point that it becomes frustrating and forces the visitor to leave. Others have multiple annoying popups or exit pops to frustrate visitors further? It should also be professional looking and ideally have no spelling errors or incorrect grammar. These things can cause your visitors to lose trust quicky.

If you want make money from affiliate programs, but don’t want to wait weeks (or in some cases months) for your commissions you may want to consider using a program that offers Instant Affiliate Commissions.
One great program that I’ve recently come across is PaySpree. PaySpree is similar to Clickbank and PayDotCom, but unlike them it offers instant affiliate commissions. This means that if you make a sale, you will receive your commission via PayPal instantly.

If you do any sort of affiliate marketing it is worthwhile learning how to create a PHP Redirect for your affiliate links. If you are not sure what this is or how it benefits you read on!
Whenever you use an affiliate link in an email to your list, on your website, or in a blog post, it is best not to use the affiliate link in its raw form. For example, here is my affiliate link for Ebay:
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5574658925&toolid=10001&campid=5335884210&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg
Quite horrible isn’t it? Not only is it long, it is also very unprofessional looking.
One of the best ways to make this link look shorter and more professional is to create a PHP redirect. The link now looks like this:

Creating a PHP redirect link like this has a few big advantages:
